Sorry all! Got it on archive.is to circumvent the paywall.

Heard an argument from a white guy being anti immigrant & claiming their “right to the land” since their ancestors had been in the US for over 100 years. It was funny and infuriating not to get a retort after telling them they have no real claim to the land since my ancestors have only been here for around 5 millennia (as far as science can tell). Guess the facts hurt their feelings.

Achukma hoke kiyo. Anumpa anumpoli kiyo. Not great. Didn’t study at all and not much speaking.
Nah. We’re all good with that in the modern era in general, I think. Mvskoke and Chickasha used to be enemies, but we are chill with each other now. Although I will say we still give each other shit about traditions sometimes, but we’re all from the same part of the USA so some traditions overlap.

2/10 bait. Made me reply.
Absolutely. My ancestors lived in what in now the US for millennia. Magat Coulter said whitey didn’t commit a violent enough genocide. In my experience, “I was here first” bullshit always breaks down to “I am white.”
Just in case someone doubts you:

The quote: “was supposed to be a kid’s movie for 12-year-olds that were going through puberty…”
George Lucas literally said himself it was for kids.
Totally the same. Biden picked Deb Holland for head of DOI and attempted to make an earnest apology for the US’s genocide of Natives via boarding schools.
Tronald Dump did exactly the same thing and cut $300 billion from food assistance that includes Indian country, which are basically third world countries with very little access to food, clean water, housing that isn’t a makeshift sheet metal, or healthcare that could prevent life long disabilities and/or premature death.

One of my absolute favorites is a quirky strategy game named Lord Monarch. I found it on the Nihon Falcom website way back in the mid 90s when I was first starting to use the internet: Lord Monarch
It’s super tiny in modern terms, but I remember waiting a good 20-30 minutes for it to download from a 33.6Kbps modem.
Another huge one for me was a game I actually got a full version of from a Gravis gamepad promo CD named Seek and Destroy. It’s a top down shooter where you can be either a helicopter or a tank: Seek and Destroy
The last one that comes to mind is a giant robot fighting game that also came on that same Gravis CD named One Must Fall: One Must Fall 2097
I second the Sinden. I use it in MAME and it requires some config changes to set it up, but their support documentation on how to get it up and running is spot on. The only real problem game I’ve run across is Terminator 2.
No doubt. I remember hearing that AZ’s Dine population were an important part of winning that state in 2020. In my experience it seems like a lot of Natives simply don’t vote for the same reason the general populace doesn’t: “my vote doesn’t matter”. I really wished that the 2020 results in AZ would’ve inspired more involvement from the community. Sure, at ~49%, that’s only about 1.5 million voters, but that could be pivotal in the right areas.
