  • Oh man, this is a dream come true.

2 was such a blast I probably rented the game from my local movie rental chain enough to actually buy the game.

Especially hot after the newest Ninja Gaiden 2 release. It’s almost a lost art having games with such a pure focus on action. It’s like a Michael Bay movie, you’re not watching/playing for the story, you’re playing for the adrenaline rush.

  • I say this not to be reactionary or pro trump.

Is there no way to use lesser nodes for wider applications? While there are processes that need as much speed as possible, I feel like what gives Taiwan semiconducting industries such great business is the fact that code optimization isn’t as cost effective as the latest and greatest chips.

I HOPE these tariffs inspire better, more secure code to make less efficient chips more viable. Like a lemon to lemonade situation.

Im glad DeepSeek open sourced their model. Even if the goal was to destabilize US companies, I think it’s a blessing the tools can go to anyone with a “powerful enough” computer.

And to be really honest, I don’t like what the tech companies have done with AI in such a short amount of time. I’m glad they are getting the piss beaten out of them. All these AI companies will do whatever it takes to destroy human labor pools so they can absorb a fraction of our wages.

The sad part is, they are after a fraction of a wage that is already undervalued. We are all struggling because of corporate greed anyway.

  • I’ve got two friends that can’t log in anymore. I feel your pain. It sucks a lot for sure. I enjoyed the article, thank you for posting.

One thing I wished they would have explored a little more was the psychological effects these memorial pages have on those left behind. Part of what helped me fully grieve and accept the loss was to eventually stop going to the pages. I guess in some way a false hope kinda starts taking root, at least it was that way for me

  • “According to research by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), the contaminants were dispersed in 87bn gallons of wastewater – which also contains blood, bacteria and animal feces – and released directly into streams, rivers, lakes and wetlands relied on for drinking water, fishing and recreation. The UCS analysis, shared exclusively with the Guardian, is based on the most recent publicly available water pollution data Tyson is required to report under current regulations.”

I wonder how many serious health complications or deaths are at their feet? The CEOs and people in charge of waste management of these facilities need to be in prison.

Who am I kidding though, it’s just gonna be a fine as a cost of doing business and an empty apology.

  • Oh for sure you can use transistors. Slightly Nasty makes a full fledged VCO from transistors. So a great micro controller would be either the teensy line or even a RP2040 (I think that’s the designation it’s a raspberry pi based microcontroller.). Look up the Europi they have some great code examples you could look at.

  • With 24 hp, you could fit a couple of LFOs and have space left for an attenuator. Look up attenuators, I’m sure Bergman’s site has one. It helps a lot for taming your modulations and you can fit like atleast two in four hp. A good LFO module size would be atleast 8 hp with two separate LFOs behind the panel. Some people can cram more in less space but ergonomics suffer. I think it’s plausible with to use a CD40106 (inverting Schmitt trigger oscillator) and a TL074 (output buffer ensuring 0-5v strength) with all the supporting circuits/jacks but definitely don’t take my word for it
