Nah, their fortunes would just go to their heirs and you’d still have the same problem with roughly the same number of people. The solution is a system of regulation and taxation that stops incentivizing the pursuit of profit over all else. For example, shareholders should not be able to profit when workers don’t. Real estate owners should not be able to engage in cartel-like behavior, collaborating with each other to fix prices.
I still don’t understand. Are you saying that inter-racial marriage results in an abomination? If you’re attempting to use some sort of rhetorical device, it’s going way above my head.

All of the dragon dreams (specifically dragon dreams - not greensight, not woods witch prophecies, etc) we’ve seen in these shows, and most that we’ve heard tell of, have included references to Dany hatching her dragons, the Iron Throne in a ruined throne room, and/or the White Walker threat. In other words, references to GOT. And when I say “most that we’ve heard tell of”, the only two dragon dreams we’ve been told about that I can think of that DIDN’T include a reference to GOT were:
All this to say, I think HBO just likes using dragon dreams to tie everything back to GOT. Everything foreshadows GOT somehow.

Honestly I would interpret the visions as “these are the reasons why you’re not gonna get that chicken farm, Helaena”:
The baby will be a boy and Rhaenyra will be forced to at least take it away, like Alicent said
The throne needs to be destroyed
Avoiding her fate would lead to the destruction of the world by the White Walkers

Sweden’s not the only one intentionally failing to meet convergence criteria.
Anyway, the eco can certainly still succeed even if there are more opt-outs; I just hope there aren’t too many more.

Tie it to politician’s salaries. Every time politicians vote to increase their own pay, minimum wage goes up by the same percentage.

Why was the benefit of hindsight needed for that particular revelation

I’m Irish and we’re delighted with the Euro.
Ask the Germans; they probably already have words for all these

The others that don’t use it haven’t met the conditions to join but are working towards it.
Lolwut no they’re not. Not all of them, anyway. Romania might be, but Sweden and Poland certainly aren’t working towards it, and there have been leadership changes in Hungary but they weren’t working towards it under Orbán. Czechia’s a bit of a question mark.

I wonder will there be many more opt-outs. Having seen how much the EU has benefitted Europe and allowed us to defend our regional interests through (admittedly imperfect) solidarity, I’d certainly like to see ECOWAS sow and reap the same rewards, and maybe my analysis is overly simplistic, but I’d guess that a single currency is a significant part of that recipe.

Perhaps, but the Malian government which these paramilitaries have been contracted to work for has been dealing with startlingly effective rebels, so they can’t afford to hand them this kind of easy propaganda.

As a fan of Diogenes, I feel obliged to point out that Cynicism is not the same as pessimism. Cynicism is the philosophical belief that society/civilization was a mistake and that humans would be best advised to follow the example of dogs, who are (generally) innately happy creatures who don’t worry about pointless abstract things like real estate ownership and licensing agreements.
But your (our?) generation won’t outnumber young people if young people keep immigrating. Not that “keep foisting the burden of perpetual growth on the young” is ACTUALLY a good plan, but it’s exactly the kind of selfish arch-capitalist thinking that they’d be all in favor of if it was white young people.

Homicide means that the law considers it to be somebody’s fault.
It’s not that they’re afraid of society collapsing. They clearly don’t care about that, as most of what they do ignores that.
What they’re worried about is the “Great Replacement”, where white people become a minority. If that wasn’t what they were really afraid of, then they would consider the problem of declining birth rates to be easily solvable with immigration.
