Don’t buy anything not entirely necessary until this shit is done. As usual consumers hold the bag.
I don’t really understand using AI for code reviews. Shouldn’t it be the other way around?
I have my setup hooked up to SonarQube and compell it to run all its changes through that. I prefer a static analysis tool with predefined checks to keep the agent in line. I just have it do a TDD workflow using that as part of the refactor step.
It’s made my work life a lot easier, but do I need it? No. At the end of the day the only thing that would change is that things take longer to get done.
Even with AI, I still read the docs to understand what it wants to do. Half the time I need to challenge it or refine the criteria.
The one place it has been a godsend for me is working in unfamiliar areas (a new library, new code ase, etc). Helps me onboard so much faster. Has helped accelerate learning too. But do I NEED it. No I don’t. I’m still smarter than it, and all that’s needed is time.

I have mixed feelings about that. Thanks for explaining!

I would love to see a documentary covering that specific topic. How did we go from rightfully cautious to data wrecklessness?

You can apply for jobs without oversharing publicly. Never said don’t go on the Internet. I said don’t over share your personal information. There is a difference between applying for a job online and posting everything you have ever done under your real name with your face visible.

So why does everyone hate lemmygrad and hexbear? I’m out of the loop on that.

If you know the CEO then you have a fighting chance. But he needs to want to change.

As someone who has been in that situation, at some point you need to realize that poor leadership is the issue, and there is no way you can fix that from lower on the totem pole.
Also, reputation is everything. If your department has a bad reputation in leadership’s eyes, no matter what you do personally, you will also be associated with that reputation.
It’s best to leave these kinds of places for a fresh start.

Share as little as possible online. We knew this in the 90s and early aughts, but somehow over time we lost this healthy skepticism.

Yes price increases seem the most likely for pharmacies but not grocery stores. There is still sufficient competition in grocery stores, and enough of them without self checkout lanes. It would be hard to get away with a price increase when a cheaper alternative exists.
Pharmacies however… As much as I prefer small pharmacies, they often are tooo small for everything. Simply can’t find everything one might need. There’s basically just CVS and Walgreens, and they both are big into self checkout. Those two would collude for sure.
Let’s train an AI on bad ms paints

That price changes if you flood the market with ram

One thing that might prevent that is Chinas desire to not let American AI companies win.
Yeah but that is ok if the goal is to fuck. You might get fired but goal achieved you know?

Just make it a felony to accept a gift from anyone. And enforce it. Like go to their house with an arrest warrant enforce it

Macroeconomics as well. Things aren’t going so great. Make your profits while you can. Also, why keep invested in Tesla when you could sell, take profit, and invest that in memory producers. It just makes more sense.
Google has to be the most consumer un friendly company on the planet. They have zero respect for their user base. Haven’t for a long time.
