2·3 hours agoI was watching who wants to be a millionaire and it was the celebrity version. I don’t recall which celebrities were sitting in the chair but I recall the question and the answer.
The question was: supreme court justices all shake hands with each other before they have a session or something, so how many times are hands shaken total among all judges?
Really simple answer if you know your math(and how many justices there are), which they ultimately asked the audience and I kind of figured ‘not a lot’ are going to get it right, but over 70 percent did. I was surprised.
Maybe one of the celebrities was Helen Hunt? I’m not going to spoil the answer any further!

11·16 hours agoHere’s my thoughts.
Hyperfiltration exhausts (overworks, think of it like high blood pressure?) the kidneys.
This causes acceleration and perhaps inducing(de novo) disease.
I know the evidence is quite weak. But there’s so many studies that show it’s making it worse for people with even minor kidney impairment and it just gets worse as it gets worse showing an accelerated momentum effect.

Technology•Google gives Android users a way to install unverified apps if they worked hard for it(including waiting 24 hours)English
4·18 hours agoYou absolutely can… Custom ROMs do just that.
Your phone has to support it. It’s not a Google wall. Your phone maker determines how difficult or easy this is. Google pixels make it rather easy to install Graphene on. Motorola is also going to support Graphene.
There’s also lineage and e/os/ and even non-AOSP-based postmarketOS(which is a Linux distro.)

2·18 hours agoI mean… This is kind of why I never let people use my phone.
I have installations from various sources enabled… Like my browser, because I know what I’m doing. But I wouldn’t trust anyone as the process is currently effortless…
If someone is trying to install spyware on you (like a partner or parent.) this might offer some notification and prevention.
I don’t really see the big deal. You do it once, enable it forever, and wipe up those tears.
I think a better way would just to have maybe like a biometric/pin confirmation upon installation. Simple. Clean.
This was happening before COVID… The time frame is literally in the first paragraph… Smh
Healthy foods (whole grains, legumes, plants and vegetables, for instance) are the cheapest foods available, pound for pound.
Bags of beans, lentils, rice? Come on…
You can usually buy several pound bags of apples for 2-3 bucks. Bananas are always cheap. And on and on and on.
You know what’s even cheaper? Soil and seed. Life’s a garden, dig it. So many videos on the whatever you watch. Video showing you what you can do with produce scraps that will grow You More produce from those scraps, for instance… You can chop off the head on lettuce and put the little puck at the base in water and it’ll start growing more leaves. Cuttings are a great way to propagate plants. Put in water until it roots then plant them.
When fresh produce gets expensive (out of season stuff) there’s frozen and canned. But growing your own is as close to free as food gets and probably the most healthy of all.

I’ve heard some of ICE claim they aren’t getting paid, and claim they aren’t getting bonuses, and further claim they’re not getting healthcare coverage.
