  • I have that same issue. My older laptop barely misses the cutoff, even though everything meets the requirements except the cpu. I have a newer laptop with Win11, and the old one runs circles around it. It’s faster and has way more RAM, yet somehow won’t run 11? I’m going to keep it and just run Linux instead. I’ll use the crappy Win11 lappy just for MS office and keeping papers from blowing off my desk.

I get a lot of my produce, dairy, and meat there, along with batteries, paper products, aluminum foil, and cleaning supplies.

Clothing often has some good deals. Same with seasonal items, I’ve gotten good deals on camping and hiking stuff, coolers, gun cases, and gardening stuff like potting soil.

I mostly avoid the center snacks but occasionally do pick up snacks.

For appliances and TVs, they extend the manufacturer warranty by an extra year for free.

  • Supposed to take my kid to the dentist this morning, pretty sure it’s not happening.

School went from a planned 2 hour late start for conferences to canceling conferences but keeping the late start to now a snow day flex learning day.

My dog has shorter legs so he struggled getting back up the steps after going outside to run around in the snow.

Since we’re going to cancel the dentist appointment and there’s no school, I can take my time clearing off the driveway and making a spot for the kids to stand at the bus stop across the street.

  • I’ll have to pick up some cilantro the next time I go to the grocery store. I have lime juice I can add, and we’re peanut free at home, so I’m not going to add those.

My son is excited to try it because he has a peanut allergy and any pad Thai we’ve found anywhere always has peanuts, and this one doesn’t.

I should also look on the bright side, it will still be better than the nonexistent pad Thai near where I live.

  • the area around Minneapolis, like what areas I should look at for housing.

It really depends on what you’re looking for and where you’re planning on looking for a job. The metro area is a big place with a lot of different suburbs that have very different personalities. Are you looking for a small house or big? Older or newer? Are schools important? Parks and trails? Urban or rural?

I don’t have any advice on selling or buying a house, but I do recommend moving here!
