    I don’t know if this is canon in their universe, but it’s delightfully ridiculous, so I’m going with it.

      Oh, it’s canon. And it gets even crazier.

      The government uses maritime law to make these shell corporations, because your mother gives ‘berth’ to you, goods that she signs away to the State. These chuckleheads actually call it a ‘berth certificate’. That’s why they always go on about ‘not being subject to maritime law’ whe they get dragged into court.

      (You can tell it’s a maritime court because the flag has fringe on it.)

      They have this weird belief that words that sound the same mean the same thing. It makes for some… interesting ideas.

        This is all preparation for the government to force us all to attend Navel Academy, where we will be sorted into a two-tier hierarchy. At that point, you’re either innie or outie.

        kind of a funny contrast

        treating words that sound similar as one and the same,
        while claiming that their names can mean something diffrent depending on how it is capitalized.

          Nah the man bear pig is just an allegory for global warming. They are making al gore look like a fool because that’s how most people saw him as (plus hyperbole and such)
