Idk about Canada, but in the USA there’s an organization called The Family Law Facilitators, and they will help people who don’t have any money in your situation. At the very least they can provide you with options and let you know what’s available to you, legally and otherwise. I strongly suggest you try to find a similar organization in Canada and reach out for some help.
I don’t think that is true. Verbal abuse and threats are considered abuse, that’s assault. Imprisonment is certainly considered abuse. And yes 26 years is a long time but 27 is longer.
It’s your life, obviously. You have to make your own decisions. But do consider the possibility that the reason he’s trained you to think it’s impossible to leave is because it isn’t.
