Speaking as a Monster junkie myself (Ultra Paradise FTW!!), remember that this shit is medicine and not something to just reach for whenever you’re thirsty. 400mg of caffeine in a day is where shit starts to get dangerous for healthy adults; a can of Monster is 140mg (or at least, the Ultra Paradise is… no idea if the other flavors have more or less), so even if you’re sucking down a can of these every single day, you’re fine unless you have some heart condition or taking in lots of caffeine from other sources.

…and don’t forget to drink actual water. I think the kidney stone thing is mostly driven by dehydration.

I’ve never actually been full-on drunk and rarely have bad hangovers, in part because after two drinks I always really want a full glass of pure water, especially if it’s hot out. Dehydration is surprisingly easy to achieve with our non-water options out there.

My buddy told me about someone he knew of that drank… was it 3 or 6 of these?, at night. In his 50s or 60s. Just to stay awake, for the sake of it. Guess he wanted to do stuff at night, rather than sleep. But he had a heart attack eventually, due to this, and stopped drinking them since.

      Freaking mental.

Whenever I drink Monster, or some cheaper energy drink, there are others… I take like 1-3 sips every couple hours or something. That’ll get me through my most sleepy days. A 500 ml can will last over the course of about 2-3 days.

I can’t imagine what drinking three of these mf’s in one night, every night, would do to my system. Let alone six (if that was the case).

Even 400 spread over a whole day, if you are healthy, you wont feel it in a bad way. Conversely, don’t just down 2 back to back.
