You’re thinking of conservatives. The cruelty isn’t the point with the chamber of commerce. Profits are the point. Anything that benefits the worker reduces profits for the capitalist.
I think you’re wrong. If they actually cared about profits, it would be easy to understand that a healthy workforce is better. But these people just enjoy inflicting misery.
Correct. Just as they expect farm animals to be treated as machinery, they expect humans to be treated as machinery – unless it’s themselves and those they deem worthy.
