Governor Election 2021: 1.66M voted Republican 1.60M voted Democrat Compare that to the presidential in 2020: 1.96M voted Republican 2.41M voted Democrat Republican voters vote consistently. Democrats often don’t. McAuliffe was a terrible candidate. It’s another case of Democrats fall in love and Republicans fall in line.
