Little to no sense how any red remains in Virginia with Nova, Richmond, and Hampton Roads all solid blue. At least Youngkin is out in 25.
Like most elections that go to Republicans, it comes down to turn out.

- 1.60M voted Democrat
Compare that to the presidential in 2020:
- 1.96M voted Republican
- 2.41M voted Democrat
Republican voters vote consistently. Democrats often don’t.
McAuliffe was a terrible candidate. It’s another case of Democrats fall in love and Republicans fall in line.
