It also seems like they scrapped the dark comedy bits that put it on the map in the first place and go the „epic fantasy“ route instead like most anime style games. Just judging by the trailer and it‘s tone, I think they take this thing too seriously now.

The dark comedy is peppered throughout. There’s really no removing it at this point.
