President Joe Biden is set to visit the American cemetery outside Paris honoring World War I dead on Sunday, setting up a contrast with former President Donald Trump, who skipped a visit to the cemetery during a 2018 trip.
The 80th anniversary of D-Day isn’t an “annual thing”. Biden was invited, just as Trump was in 2018 for the 75th anniversary. Edit: Trump’s visit was in 2018 was supposed to honor US Marines who died in WWI (where Biden also visited during this trip). Trump skipped the ceremony and then shit-talked the US Marines, referring to them as “losers.”
Biden showed up-- and managed not to disparage thousands of war heroes at the same time, unlike Trump.
oops, my mistake. Trump was supposed to visit the same WWI cemetery in 2018 to honor fallen US Marines for the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI. I got this confused with Biden visiting the same WWI cemetery on a trip to honor the 80th anniversary of D-Day, a WWII battle.

So, the 75th was in 2018…
And six years later in 2024, it’s the 80th?
You sure about that math?

fixed.
No, I was just shocked at your math abilities.
it has nothing to do with math. i fixed my error and explained it, but there’s no excuse for being rude.
