My family is Filipino and we have a concept called “bayanihan”, which is when the villagers would move their houses inland to escape coastal flooding by working together to lift the houses and carry them on their shoulders. I don’t know if it’s worth fighting the storm instead of carrying what you can inland and waiting it out and staying alive
