It’s funny that saying “what has happened was deplorable” is such a controversional statement here. You don’t realize when you have gone so far in one direction that you looped back into being fascist yourself.

Killing fascists doesn’t make you a fascist.

I love how it’s always “no one should have to die” until it’s brown people poor people or anyone in the global south that the fash hates.

People should watch Hotel Rwanda. Or go to the Holocaust Museum. Or just read any fucking history book. We are alive with rights today because people killed fascists and said “fuck that, we are all worthy of respect.” We dont walk away from that now just because the fascists can make an internet post of sympathy. We dont stop because its scary, fuck yeah it is. We stop once we’ve planted a field of daisies that our children have the freedom to stop and smell.

Yeah it does. Because you will be killing “fascists” till your vision of the world appears and anyone in the way will be branded a fascist. Killing makes you a bad person, regardless of who you are killing. If you don’t realize that, then there is no saving you.

It wasn’t deplorable, though. It was unfortunate, certainly. Bro felt rushed because the police were closing in on him, so he couldn’t do a great job aiming. It’s sad, but you can’t really fault him for doing his best. Personally, I commend the little guy. What he did took a lot of courage.
