If you’re interested read up on how it worked, you had to hold down a switch when you wanted to fire but the guns would only fire when the gyroscope deemed the ship to be level. minus-square@HappycamperNZlinkEnglish4•2 months agoFollow on from this (someone please correct me) the guns fired slightly after eachother to reduce the shocks on the structure firing directly ahead has to be done with caution for the same reason the (modern) radar tracks the rounds in flight to improve accuracy on subsequent shots.
