I’ve found those. At a local store in Baghdad. Never seen such make it to Best Buy, Target, or even Radio Shack. Might as well buy a USB Killer from AliExpress and skip the “double-ended” non-sense.
I have a cheap USB to IDE adapter from Aliexpress that uses one of those. The fun part is that you can’t ever replace the cable because they should not be made and no reputable brand will ever sell one.
USB-A to USB-A cables are just one “I need to transfer data between two computers” and one tech illiterate away from blown PSUs.

Some cheapo and janky USB devices use the USB-A to USB-A cables, without the power disconnected.
