Vandals last year chopped down the famed tree, which had stood on Hadrian’s Wall in England for nearly 200 years.

Strange seeing NY Times reporting on a somewhat famous tree I used to live about 2km away from being ~~fuelled~~ felled.

I assumed the Sycamore Gap was something only Northumbrians would know or care about.
