If Kamala were witty and snarky, she would do this. It could be like a compilation of trump gaffs and mispeakings, and Kamala could come in with a calm, presentable voice where she just kindly informs trump of how to pronounce words. She could even get the team behind The Daily Show to write essentially a 5 minute sketch of her just presenting trump embarassing trump, and her correcting him.
Somehow, I just think trump would lose his shit if he were corrected by Harris for a number of reasons. Race being the main one. The fact that he couldn’t allow himself to be corrected by a black person, or a woman, or in this case a black woman.
And that’s another thing she could correct him on. She could use the footage of him claiming she “decided to be black”, and make it a talking point that people don’t just “decide” to be black. That they’re born black, and his misunderstandings of the world around him doesn’t change that.
It would probably cost trump the ENTIRE black vote.
And if this short video DOESN’T do any of these things, then it won’t cost her anything. Nothing of value was lost, and it was an attempt. It didn’t work, try something else.
But I really do think that Harris could use quotes like “Grab em by the pussy” against trump, any number of racial comments against trump, I saw she already did do an interview with one of the central park 5 which I think is a great step.
Honestly, I think Harris has this in the bag…but she has to lean into it. She made a good step with that central park 5 interview. I think if she used a slogan like “This pussy grabs back” it could be something that attracts the female vote. Lean into the fact that you’re black. That’s easy votes from a large portion of the country.
The worst thing she can do is be bland. Be boring. Be someone NOT in the headlines. The people WANT to vote for you. Just give them a reason! Do likeable things, lean into who you are, lean into how awful HE is, and I think you got this in the bag! Whereas if Biden were still running…I like Biden, but I can admit he would have lost.
I don’t think she needs to go down to his level. They should be responding to her, not the other way around. She should focus on policy and what will be good with her as president.
He wants attention. It is his oxygen. Do not give him it.
The mainstream media will give it to him no matter what and Democrats have been talking the high road for the last eight plus years. Might as well make fun of him for what a weirdo he is and poison his oxygen supply.
The weirdo think is quite light. Harris has a lead because the media have been talking about her rather than Trump. Why change what is working?
