minus-squareanon6789OPlink1•20 days agoAnd the spooky sounds calling back and forth on a dark night! There’s no shortage of cultures where owls are cryptids or gods, and it’s no surprise. Even today, they can fill us with both wonder and unease.

minus-squareanon6789OPlink1•20 days agoAlso the shrieking ones like barn owl, and the Barking Owl is also called the Screaming Woman. Tales about people getting lost in swamps and such trying to find her are the source of many monster stories. Look those calls up if you get a chance!
