In the aftermath of Tuesday’s presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, Trump’s running mate, Ohio U.S. Sen. JD Vance, made a series of controversial, bigoted, and inflammatory statements during an interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins. Vance doubled down on debunked claims about Haitian immigrants abducting pets to eat them and falsely linked the migrant community to rising rates of HIV and tuberculosis in Springfield, Ohio. His remarks have since drawn widespread condemnation for their harmful, fear-mongering nature.

lol my dumbass neighbor just tried selling this argument to me and I just laughed and walked away. Like how ridiculous does the story have to be before you even do some basic logic questions?

Even the new claims are ridiculous

You know who’s really causing AIDS breakouts?

Conservatives in red states like Mike Pence when he was governor of Indiana. It’s common for them to squash needle eschange, testing, and other harm avoidance practices. Even crazier shit like banning narcon or treating it like drug paraphernalia, then bitching about opiod deaths

They’re to the point where they just break shit so they have something to complain about.
