Supporting new technologies can be expensive, but deciding when to wean the public off incentives can be a difficult balancing act.

    I’m not a friend of EV subsidies, even though I drive an EV myself. I think it would be far better to tax CO2 emissions in a meaningful way. But that would upset the car brains so that’s a no no.
