A long time ago, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and it has widely been regarded as a bad move. Was the creation of the universe politically motivated or was there some other reason for doing it?

Saying the universe was created, implies a creator.
I assume it was just something that happened.
I don’t think the word needs to imply a creator necessarily.
“Clouds are created when water vapour in the air condenses”.
“Black holes are created when giant stars collapse”.
I’ll concede that going on to question political motive implies a creator, though.
