I know, I don’t even miss it anymore lol.

In fact, I think about drinking so little now that I totally forgot about my 5 year anniversary until a week or two later 😄

      Nice.

Quit just before quarantine (kind of surreal, everyone else went the other way).

Still one of those things I know logically but not emotionally, which is unfortunate. Whatever, good enough.

I know exactly what you mean. I had the same problem myself with both drinking and smoking.

Just hang in there long enough and you’ll get so used to it that your emotions catch up to your logic. I’m rooting for you to get there soon ❤️

I feel that way about smoking. But my wife still craves cigarettes sometimes and dreams about smoking despite us both quitting in 2000.

I quit smoking a month before I quit drinking and sometimes when I’m super stressed or want the excuse to leave a crowd to go smoke (hooray for social anxiety!), I think for a moment “damn, I could really use a smoke right now”, but I’m luckily able to disregard the impulse as quickly as it appears heh.

I hope your wife’s cravings are as easily dismissed as mine and that, unlike me, she can do so without instinctively scolding herself lol

Easily dismissed enough that I didn’t even know she had waking cravings until we were visiting her mom’s a couple days ago and she was talking about it. She says it’s a really quick moment and then it’s gone.

Which is funny to me because with my weird medical issue that I believe you’re aware of, that’s how hunger is for me. It’s like I’ve lost my addiction to food.
