If someone reports you for doing anything against their ToS on other websites then it will hold consequences.

This is another reason why privacy matters. Have different user names on different platforms so you can’t be linked. I don’t condone treating other people poorly however this leads to more control, especially with how crazy ToS/EULAs are and how they are ever changing.

    The new “Off-Platform conduct” rule gives Riot Games the right to issue game penalties when hateful content is brought to their attention. The new clause says Riot Games won’t proactively search for social media for violations. Instead, players can report cases about an offending player’s conduct on a livestream in which one of its games serves as “the background of the content produced.” If Riot determines that the player violated its TOS, Riot could issue a penalty “as if that behavior occurred in-game,” according to the TOS.

      It’s a bad precident. As far as I know this is the first of it’s kind and these ideas will inevitably spread to other companies.

        This is something in real life too.

        Getting fired for extracurricular activities is an absolutely normal thing.
