In-between the brackets is the alternative text to display if the image refuses to load. In this community I usually just make it “img”, or like “img1”, “img2”, etc. I find them helpful myself e.g. if I come back to a post later and the external image no longer loads.
FYI, add exclamation[nothing here] (link) and remove the “v” from gifv so it’ll display.
