I have a pretty decent personal music library on my homelab server, but I am looking for a good Android app to play it. So far I’ve only tried Finamp, which connects to jellyfin. It’s fine but I really wonder if there are some other options out there. TIA

For me, Jellyfin was pretty easy to set up, but some of the software it connects with has given me trouble (Mostly the STARR stack, which locates content and organizes your library).
Right now I have Jellyfin set up as a docker container and it was very easy to setup. It works well for remote access with Tailscale.
Ah…it’s all command line…no thanks.
The installation of any media server will involve some command line/ text file setup. Once it is installed, you shouldn’t have to do much if anything by command line.

You can just log in with the user name
demoand leave the password field emptyThe login instructions are on the login screen. Anyway, I’m not really computer savvy but I’ve been able to get it working. Let me know if you want any tips to get started. I know that self hosting can be intimidating at the beginning.
