This makes me wonder… would I rather have the real-life supervillains like Musk who end up causing massive amounts of damage for no reason or comic book ones like (some versions of) Lex Luthor who ultimately want to better humanity, they just don’t care who they have to hurt to get us there?

I mean, supervillains often turn into anti-heroes. Even Lex Luthor has some ‘good guy’ arcs. Some like Dr. Doom are the mythical benevolent dictators.
