Summary

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) faced backlash online after claiming, without evidence, that Democrats might attempt to “steal” the certification of Donald Trump as president.

Her remarks, posted on social media, drew criticism as overly dramatic and unnecessary, especially given the routine nature of the certification process, which proceeded without incident.

The comments came on the anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, leading many to contrast the peaceful proceedings with past unrest.

Critics dismissed her rhetoric as attention-seeking and partisan posturing.

Eh, it’s fine. Were mutual understanding that easy to achieve, the world wouldn’t be what it is today.

Important enough to type all that drivel but not enough to care if anyone understands it

Being unreasonably motivated one moment followed by snidely apathetic the next seems like a huge pitfall to me, but ok.

I guess you’ll never fall if you set the bar below your own feet.

Stop being pretentious and communicate lol.

The bar is a narrow surface, which means stepping on it would be to pursue balance at the risk of failure. The longer one stands on it, the greater the exhaustion and the higher the chance of falling down. Though one will fall down eventually, it’s still an exercise that trains and strengthens mind and body.

Pretentiousness is a part of communication. Because people pretend all the time, whether it’s with others or themselves. It’s a facet we all share in some way. Why deny it? I am who I am and you are who you are. Yet you expect me to change because it doesn’t conform your expectations or something? Well, tough.

Buddy, I’m reading all your responses in good faith and you have an extremely verbose and overly complicated way of writing. And that’s something, coming from me.

Take this as good faith, constructive feedback: try to use shorter sentences. Stop using passive voice. Read what you wrote and ask yourself, “Is it clear what I’m saying?” Don’t use metaphor unless you’ve already provided a strong basis for the reader to understand your point.

It’s not clear people disagree with you. But you’re getting downvoted because your communication ends up wasting time and brain cycles.
