“That would really be something,” Trump said of the U.S. taking control of Canada.

“You get rid of that artificially drawn line, and you take a look at what that looks like. And it would also be much better for national security,” Trump said. “They’re great, but we’re spending hundreds of billions here to protect it. We’re spending hundreds of billions a year to take care of Canada. We lose in trade deficits.”

As hard as the northern border is to “secure” it would be a billion times harder to “secure” all the coastline instead of the current border.

I’m also pretty sure he thinks it’s a curved line for no reason, because he doesn’t understand how globes work

Many people are saying that we need more space. More living space, it’s a huge problem. We’ve been treated so badly being stuck in the room we’ve got and so I said to now former governor of Canada because he resigned in disgrace, Justin (I call him Justin), Justin we need more living space, you’re going to be the 51st state you know. You know they used to have a word for it, they called it lebensraum, did you ever hear of that? Most people don’t know that but they used to be very big into that and then the radical left made it a bad word to say. But I think we need to bring it back.

That’s a great impression of Trump from 2016 because I don’t think he’s nearly as eloquent today.
