Slower, catchy, with a great mid section and a fantastic solo, this sounds sorta personal in a vulnerable kind of way, if that makes sense lol. Not everyone jives with modern 'Thrax but they’ve been doing some good things.

80s Anthrax has some of my favourite thrash. The guitar work and tones on Among the Living, and Spreading the Disease were on point. Fistful of Metal is not given enough credit. State of Euphoria was decent. Persistence of Time has some REALLY good Anthrax tracks: see Keep It In The Family, Got The Time (cover). But yeah, too many amazing songs to choose from. Imo they kinda fell off after Persistence of Time, but their last couple efforts seem to be improving incrementally. I look forward to see what they come up with next.

I still say that Anthrax has the best rhythm section in metal, and one of the best in any genre.

Individually, they’re all good, great even. But the way they sync up and work together is astounding to me.

And that’s the part that makes me enjoy even their less great albums. Yeah, some of that in between stuff is weak lyrically, and even compositionally. But Charlie, Frank and Scott always manage to bring it. They’re just so damn tight together.
