I sometimes feel like I’m taking crazy pills with this whole climate change thing. We are sleep walking into extinction, and there is a large portion of people actively fighting to let it happen.
I mean at one point, even sane people just give up. I was also worrying a lot, then I accepted that the emissions will keep rising for reasons outside of my personal control. That doesn’t mean I start to eat with plastic cutlery at home, and drive a V8 Ford truck to work, but I’m also not going to stop it, unless I go Luigi on oil executives (and even that might be not enough).
Climate change is happening, it will suck (it already does), and humanity will need to adapt to it.
That’s true, but we don’t have to sleep walking into it. We can fight it, and we can mitigate. I would rather mitigate than adapt. Adaptation is not only expensive (cuz some people only understand dollar signs), but it will also kill a fuck ton of people, and a lot of species on earth. I have to tune this shit lut regularly and pretend it isn’t happening or I’ll have a mental break down.
Yeah, well, there’s multiple perspectives to the climate crisis. You either love humanity enough to want to see us grow as a species or you don’t. If you dont, then sit the fuck down and get out of the way.
Really? I doesn’t seem like people are going around shooting parents who put more polluters onto the planet. There aren’t free bullets in the head for buying goods like electronics, clothes, and food made from slave labor. How many billionaires made an early visit to the grave last year for selling cars, polluting the planet, and shortening people’s life-spans? Do point out to me which Boeing exec was merced for forcing employees to create insure planes costing the lives of hundreds of people? Should fat US Americans be shot in the face for consuming double or triple that of other developed nations and over-proportionally participating in system that keeps the poor poor and the rich richer?
Tell me, how many people have you shot in the face so far for (gleefully) donating to large companies that displace populations in the interest of profit?
That doesn’t make any sense though. Think about it, in order for humanity to end, the max amount of people have to die. If I killed myself, that would only be one person less. The most efficient would be to take as many people as possible with me and in the meantime convince more people to do the same.

Yeah, but you have to see it from their point of view.
They’re getting obscenely wealthy while it’s happening.
you have to fight back

i’m insane i guess because i’ll never give up. i will give it back to the bastards if its the last thing i do.

Don’t look up.
I want humanity to end for the good of the planet. Others don’t care if humanity ends as long as they live a good life. We are not the same
Then you support Wyoming’s “CO2 is awesome” bill, because at least the plants will thrive after humanity?
The problem is we’re going to kill a hell of a lot of innocent animals before we start making any impact on the people causing the most of it.

Why would I sit down and get out of the way? That’s minimum impact towards furthering the goal of eradicating humanity. Think a little dude.
Because someone is liable to shoot you in the face when you try to off a bunch of people just for existing.

This is just full of argument fallacies. I’m not even going to try to address bad faith arguing. You know damn well what I meant.
You’re making the genius assumption that I go around killing people because I don’t like humanity and that’s not bad faith?
You literally made a comment to another person in this comment chain insinuating that you wanted to kill a bunch of people on your way out.
My suggestion to you is the same as to everyone else who wants humanity end, start with yourself, lead by example, or shut the fuck up.

Oil execs please
