Your average new user is going to give up long before that and never use the site again. It’s also confusing to pick which instance to start with (users need to be guided more)

Exactly that yes, it took me a while to find Photon, and I’m someone that’s passionate about tech and works in tech.
Your average new user is going to give up long before that and never use the site again.
