this whole thing reminds me of former fans speaking up in Marilyn Manson: Unmasked . he was their idol and was able to appear extremely reasonable. they thought that’s the real him and everything else is just show. they looked up to him, but then it turns out he’s not just a harmless jokingly bizarre attention whore, but actually dangerous and the reasonable appearance is just one of his masks. it took some of them years to understand what actually happened.
