well, I hope we don’t end up having a global lockdown again, but if we do, I’ll be sure to call it the America Pox or Trump Flu or something polemic

States and cities still can. Buisnesses can decide to as well. Groups and individuals can also lock themselves down. Basically: communities.

In theory they can, but when a trump backed federal government and law enforcement is breathing down their neck with implicit threats of court cases and funding cuts I wonder if a lot of places will want to do anything.

My area was forced to do well by our governor, which naturally meant they wanted to thank her by plotting to kidnap and murder her.

For those unfamiliar with this story:

On October 8, 2020, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced the arrests of 13 men suspected of orchestrating a domestic terror plot to kidnap American politician Gretchen Whitmer, the Governor of Michigan, and otherwise using violence to overthrow the state government. Some have labeled the attempt as an example of stochastic terrorism, where violent rhetoric by prominent figures inspired the plot.

Just corpses littering the street, and chants of “fake news”

Please, 48% of voters didn’t agree with this at all.

Give credit where it’s due and feed his narcissism too: Trump Flu!

A lot of people in Nazi Germany didn’t vote for it either, nobody remembers them as anything but Nazis.

Other countries don’t have the time or patience to be checking every fucking US refugee to make sure they have the correct politics.

Nope, we’re all going to be assumed to be just as dangerous as the rest of these fucking Nazis. Don’t get it twisted. It’s not their fucking job to do the legwork to figure out we’re not pieces of shit. Easier to just close the borders to dipshit Nazi Americans.

It’s like those sayings about if you have 9 Nazis and one regular person at a table you have 10 Nazis at a table or how about if you allow Nazis into your bar, soon enough it will just be known as a Nazi bar, because they’ll start to bring their friends once they’re comfortable.

Look, it’s not nice to admit, but because we’re US citizens, we’ve got a seat at the same table as these motherfuckers in the eyes of the rest of the world. They don’t see a table with half nice people and half Nazis, they don’t have the time or effort for that, they just see Nazis and I couldn’t blame them one bit.

As a non-American, I can confirm. My personal opinion of Americans has been declining sharply for the last decade, and last year’s election was the final nail. The average American is a brain-dead magat who puts a greater importance on hurting brown people than helping anyone. It’s a shithole country.

48% of voters is an internal US matter and the USA is represented by Trump, who has already speed run to Russian level censorship, expansionism, hate, and authoritarianism.

The guy forces release of a low-confidence report blaming a lab leak and forbids the CDC from cooperating with the WHO in the same week. This is world-level abandonment, probably out of stupidity so that the US profits on drugs without considering that the USA is robbing the world of some of its best scientists.

More than a third of eligible voters didn’t vote. They were fine with either outcome.

I wonder if they’re still feeling the same way.
