“If the purges [of potential voters], challenges and ballot rejections were random, it wouldn’t matter. It’s anything but random. For example, an audit by the State of Washington found that a Black voter was 400% more likely than a white voter to have their mail-in ballot rejected. Rejection of Black in-person votes, according to a US Civil Rights Commission study in Florida, ran 14.3% or one in seven ballots cast.”

"[…] Democracy can win* despite the 2.3% suppression headwind.

And that’s our job as Americans: to end the purges, the vigilante challenges, the ballot rejections and the attitude that this is all somehow OK."

I don’t care who was dissuading people from voting

Centrists interpret anyone upset with their genocide as “dissuading people from voting.” Has it ever occurred to you that people were trying to warn you what would happen if you kept up with your genocide support? Or did you just not care, knowing that you would get your genocide either way?

In a better world there would be a “no genocide” option, unfortunately we didn’t have any of those options once the election rosters were finalized so we ended up with a slow rolled mildly economically sanctioned genocide under biden or an accelerated genocide under trump or a non-serious third party in a country where the last third party to win an election was 170 years ago.

Congrats the accelerated genocide won out over the status quo. I did what I could with what is available to me, I voted against the worse option with an actual chance to win.

Anyone who tried to pressure Democrats into being a “no genocide” option was screamed at by the same pro-genocide centrists who are now blaming them for Harris’ loss. But yeah, you sound real broken up about there being no “disagree with you about genocide” option.

Congrats the accelerated genocide won out over the status quo. I did what I could with what is available to me, I voted against the worse option with an actual chance to win.

I also voted for Harris, despite her support for your genocide.

If you’re going to quote me, use all of what I said. You left out the “by the end of the campaigning.” part.

At the end of the day, I voted for Harris and voted against an accelerated genocide because the final choice after months of atrocious debates and rushed campaigning and people rightfully calling out Netanyahu’s campaign against Gaza and the Palestinians a genocide, no matter who was funding Israel. But people wanted to talk about Genocide Joe like he was masterminding the entire genocide and ignoring Trump literally threatening to make it worse by telling Netanyahu he can have all the money and weapons he wants to finish it quickly.

Biden didn’t mastermind shit. He mindlessly followed the leader of a genocidal regime.

and ignoring Trump literally threatening to make it worse

Holy fucking shit you’re literally proving my point. You’re so focused on Joe Biden’s passive participation you’re ignoring Trump actively making it worse. Do you agree that Trump is making the genocide worse?

                Selling weapons isn’t passive.

Do you agree that Trump is making the genocide worse?

Well, it’s bad enough that some centrists are finally admitting that it is a genocide, so yeah. It’s your wing of the party’s only policy, so I don’t see why you’re so upset that it’s being carried out by a kindred spirit.

I guess I have to preface everything I say with a disclaimer of pro-genocide centrist talking points in order to satisfy the trump-adjacent wing of the party.
