The Chinese are objectively worse. We’re in danger of slipping into autocracy. They have had it for decades.

IDK despite Chinese authoritarianism they attempt to improve the quality of life for the population. For example healthcare was very poor for a nation as wealthy as China at the turn of this century. The party spent time and money to increase the availability of care and the quality of the average citizen’s care has gotten much better in the last 10-15 years.

Any country as xenophobic as China will never be a true global leader. Say what you will about America and our racism problem, it pales into comparison to China’s “Han or bust” stance.

im not sure China will be objectively worse than Trump’s America though which is my point.

Ok, go ahead? Is there systemic racism in this country? Absolutely. Does it need to be addressed? Again, yes.

Now, tell me how what I said about the extreme xenophobia and homogeneity of China is inaccurate?

Great, here is a question, if you believe Xenophobia keeps you from being a true world leader, in what ways has the US been denied its rightful place as world leader by its own xenophobia?

As I said, it’s a completely different scale. Look at the demographics of China and their immigration numbers, then compare them to the U.S.

It’s a night and day difference.

No, according to a bunch if Chinese mainlanders I know this did indeed get better. It’s amazing what a government can do when the population doesn’t stupidly believe governments are always incompetent.

An according to a bunch of Chinese mainlanders I know, that is all BS. See how that works. There is tons of proof out there for the absurd crap the CCP does to pretend to do good that is all a facade. You aren’t going to fool me, I have seen first-hand what happens when the government installs fire hydrants to make a village safe, then when there is a fire, the firefighters can’t get water out of it because it isn’t hooked up to anything. Or when the pollution is so thick it is poisoning the local vegetation, so there are trucks driving around spray painting the dead trees green. Or people being force-fed Xi’s idiot ramblings everywhere possible from a young age. China is great, their business practices are corrupt and their commgovernment is evil. Sorry.

                https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31571602/

That’s the US national institute of health claiming progress in China.

Here’s a 40 year study talking about the improvements.

This is well documented. China realized it could afford to cover these people and that if thet did not they would have a problem similar to America very quickly. They spent the money rather than letting people go without preventative care which is cheaper thab emergency care in the long run. Why is it hard to believe that the Chinese government can do the right thing from time to time?

You did. I claimed they improved the quality of their healthcare and coverage. You claimed all of those claims are lies. I provided evidence for those claims and now you’re trying to gaslight me because you were proven incorrect.

Tell ypu what you go look for proof that they didn’t improve healthcare between 2000-2025 with a specific focus on 2009-now and I’ll find you proof of that.

You’ll find you are going to have difficulty finding sources that claim otherwise which I know from when I didn’t believe this claim and looked for them.

China was embarrassed that they did not have universal coverage and they do now.

ONE thing, that everywhere else except one developed country has (the US), doesn’t absolve them of the absolute torrent of bad-to-evil shit they do, TO THEIR OWN PEOPLE (excluding the vile crap they do to non-chineese people and diaspora).

Oh, just gonna throw this into the mix. The authoritarian CCP now has the healthcare of their population under their control. Now if you act out, or are the wrong religion/color/anything, they have one MORE lever to pull against you. How altruistic. (They did it with the Health Codes app during covid. People got uppity and they coded the area red so those people had to be quarantined and could be violently detained openly “for public health”…when it was just a protest they didn’t like.)

Everywhere else better mean the developed nations otherwise you might be shocked how many still have no access to universal care.

What do your claims about “their own people” have to do with my point about improved access to healthcare in China?

Idk if you’ve seen the “quality of life” in China now versus 40 years ago, but it certainly hasn’t improved lol
