Colorado bill SB25-076 aims to prohibit the sale of certain marijuana products to customers younger than 26 years old and ban the production of psilocybin edibles for use in Colorado’s forthcoming psychedelic-assisted therapy industry.
So, you suddenly gain a lot more tolerance over the age of 26? That’s not what I’ve seen…
If anything, after the creation of red cards, and also spiking right after Amendment 64 passed, there were lots of stories floating around about how there were lots of older adults in the boomer age range that were telling budtenders “give me the highest octane” because “I know my weed” because yadda yadda, you don’t know man, back in the sixties, etc…and then having quite a bad time.
Admittedly I didn’t read the article, but I thought there were potential brain development physiology reasons up until 25 or so. Because it’s federally illegal I don’t think it has been studied specifically with weed, but I recall hearing something about that in relation to alcohol…not that it has changed that legislation though.
