Ok. But the quote is still true, right? Just because it was said by a neonazi doesn’t make it untrue. Plus You get banned from Shitter for criticizing Space Karen, so it also points out his hypocrisy.
The quote has erroneous logic by implying that not being allowed (by society) to criticize a marginalized community or individual because the criticizer is a bigot or an asshole is equivalent to not being allowed (by authoritarians) to criticize unjust people with power.
It may lead some people to confuse social pressure with let’s say institutional violence.
Not really. I can’t criticize children born in refugee camps or people with severe developmental disorders (cuz everyone would say I’m an uneducated asshole for doing so, and they’d be right). I don’t think those are the people with ruling power…
Meanwhile, I can say fuck DT sideways with a cheese grater and get dozens of up votes.
So no, it’s not true.
You mean people around you here will not tolerate your intolerance of those who can’t defend themselves.
In this case you can criticize, but you choose not to because of social pressure.
This social pressure does not exist for Aotus so criticism is encouraged. A change in venue would dramatically change this. For instance, try posting your distaste for Aotus in a conservative Reddit. Also in that venue they may be accepting of denigrating those with DD.
