Summary

Rep. Seth Magaziner (D-R.I.) called Elon Musk a “coward” if he refuses to testify before Congress about the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and its role in federal spending cuts.

House Republicans blocked a Democratic attempt to subpoena Musk.

Concerns over DOGE’s actions include efforts to dismantle USAID and access Treasury systems, potentially affecting Social Security, Medicare, and tax records.

Magaziner criticized the lack of transparency and congressional oversight, arguing Musk has no authority to unilaterally withhold congressionally appropriated funds.

Subpoena him, hand cuffed if needed, to testify.

Pelosi’s pick for the Oversight Committee didn’t think of it till it was too late.

Don’t be too hard on him, can’t expect much out of a septigenerian actively battling throat cancer, it’s not like there was another choice, it was his turn after all.

This part of the plan is explicitly named “ignore the courts”.
