I learned just recently that dbzer0 has a great piracy community that is blocked by lemmy.world . I’m not saying I’m looking to switch instances or anything, but it did get me wondering what else might be blocked by my instance that I wasn’t previously aware of.

While we’re at it, I’m curious what communities might notably be blocked on other instances as well. So we might as well just make this a question about what might be blocked by any particular instance, not just my instance.

So, what’s blocked on some instances that folks might not have realized is blocked?

    Beehaw is the best run instance on the fediverse no question. I generally like blahaj as well but it can get a bit rowdy lol

      I took a moment to scroll Beehaw a bit after bringing it up. It’s largely how I remember it, but the place feels much more tense than before, but I can’t really fault them for that with the massive uptick in hate around much of the world.

      If one wants a place like Beehaw, I agree there probably isn’t a much better one out there.

        Yeah they feel rightfully under threat as a leader in the concept of “safe spaces” for queer and other underrepresented (and let’s be real: currently maligned) groups.
