Have this ikea drill. Started doing this recently. I think I need a new one

    Try cleaning it with compressed air first. Might just be crud on the carbon brushes for the motor.

      Judging by the fireworks show inside I would be questioning if the brushes even exist anymore or it’s just running on the springs

            Doesn’t mean shit. I got a $25 powered no name screw driver and I use it every time I gotta grab a screwdriver. For years. No issues with it.

            Sadly most things are made to just die after a year and go into a landfill.

            Meh, I’d still give it a shot to look into fixing it.

            At the very least as a learning exercise.

            I’m a fan of fixing things and preventing stuff from finding their way into landfills when ever possible.

              I’ve watched a tear down of one of these before, and actually just rewatched it and the brushes aren’t replaceable
