Okay, I can play this game.
Opens control panel and uninstalls onedrive
Opens Appdata and Program Files folders and removes leftover onedrive bits
Opens Regedit and wipes out any remnants from there

    Wonderful. All set up now.

Then windows force installs another buggy update that also reinstalls onedrive for your convenience.

These “” seem to have fallen from around the word convenience, so I picked them up for you.

        Fullscreen ad after update:

"HEY HAVE YOU TRIED ONEDRIVE 365 TOTAL PREMIUM FAMILY BUSINESS PLAN?!

(“No thanks” is in tiny 2 pt. font at the very bottom right, far from the “YES PLEASE” button, and only highlights after clicking that zone 3 times.)

Oh, I see you turned off Ad Personalization. Silly, that must’ve been a mistake. We fixed that for you!

…And you’re not using Edge…clearly that was a whoopsie. Fixed!"

MAKE SURE YOU OPEN ONEDRIVE AND UNSYNC EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU UNINSTALL IT

OneDrive loves to start moving files into the cloud without asking for permission, and if you remove OneDrive without checking this you may inadvertently delete them from your PC. Ask how I know

Look, I’m just glad I have the technical skills to reconfigure my system.

Talking to my parents/grandparents/other family that aren’t tech savvy, they all complain about how one drive and Microsoft’s ads, and Edge keep butting into their lives, but then they have no idea how to mitigate the constant pings about those things.

I’m glad someone is enjoying Microsoft’s barrage of services tho.
