Another week in the books. Let’s chat about manga in the general discussion thread! Feel free to use this thread for questions, comments, recommendations, etc.
Like normal, please be careful with spoilers. I wrote a guide about spoilers in case you need a refresher on how to handle them (also linked in the sidebar).
Lets see… Asura’s Dish of the Day finished yesterday. I mentioned before I’m a bit disappointed with the time skip and that didn’t change, but the final chapter was decent enough. Too bad it had to go this way.
Second series I’d like to mention is Crimson Grimoire. It’s an edgy magical girl with servants series that was abandoned by its translators years ago and came back recently. I don’t even remember why I started reading it back in the day - it’s not particularly unique nor impressively written. I just needed something to fill my time with, I guess.
I’m still going back and forth whether I care enough to continue reading at this point as I don’t expect much but hey, it is something I read in the last few days so it deserves a mention.
I don’t really have the time or energy to read anything new at the moment so other than that I’m sticking with the usual stuff: Mary-san, 12cm Promise, green rock yuri etc. I’ll just sustain myself reading through comments posted by all of you each week.
I don’t really mind her dieting for her health, but the teacher arc was completely avoidable. Way to ruin a sweet series.
I wouldn’t mind if the change was more reasonable/gradual but her going from the initial design to a completely new person in what, 2-3 weeks? It just felt like a cop-out. Plus the fact that she only got her kiss after becoming a generic manga girl… Still, these aren’t major issues in the grand scheme of things.
I agree about the teacher though.
