Am I the only one who thinks that getting rick rolled is something that should’ve been stopped in like the 90s??

You mean before YouTube existed? Back when downloading a picture took minutes?

A 90s Rick roll would have been someone putting the music video on VHS, then mislabeling it, then sharing it.

Sigh… newbies have no appreciation of Internet culture.

        This is a “'90s Rickroll:”

(According to knowyourmeme.com it’s actually from the mid-2000s; before that, bait-and-switch links weren’t really a thing.)

Tbf, waiting a day n a half for a video to load, only for it to be a Rick roll would have been way funnier. Too bad the meme didn’t exist yet then.

And that’s only after you found the right video codec, and replaced your sound card because yours was outdated.

No, in the 90s a rickroll was goatse, tubgirl, lemon party, blue waffle, pain Olympics, etc

Google them at your own risk

No, only goatse existed in the '90s, and that’s 1999. Everything else on your list was from the 2000s.

Wasn’t it a duck roll back then?
