Normal is a chain of shops from Denmark selling personal care and make up products at good prices. Also cleaning products, snacks and beverages.

Currently have shops in the Nordics (Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway), Netherlands, France, Spain and Portugal. Most of the brands are from Denmark but also from Germany, United Kingdom and other countries. Here they have several Spanish brands but I suppose they will have brands from the country the shop is opened.

This company is interesting, they are quite smart too.

An interesting example: they opened a Normal Cafe, with okayish coffee that is ridiculously cheap, next to a Normal shop. They admitted they are only making minus from the Cafe but people going to the store after have brought in so much revenue that it is actually profitable strategy from the beginning.

I believe there are other European companies with similar idea (except the price of coffee is not dramatically low) like Tschibo IIRC?

Same for IKEA, the cheap food is a draw to lure you in and then the maze of a store makes it stay and buy things.

True! And I think Normal and also the Danish Tiger store copied this maze-layout from IKEA. It does work on people (including me).

        Edit: added a word

Hey, this is a clever statregy indeed In Spain they are not opening cafes. They are opening shops in shopping malls inside or very near to cities, so they guarantee people entering to see what’s in spot in the shop
