Anyway, I visited my family in Houston and people casually referred to an area 2-3 blocks away across the railroad tracks as 'n*****rtown*. Thanks for your input though.
One of my good friends is trans in a deep red part of a red state. Thankfully they pass (better than they think) because I fear for their life if people knew the truth about them. Really sad what our country has devolved into

I’m not a fan of generalizing people by their beliefs either. I think generally conservatives are wrangled into more hateful thought though. I know conservatives who are SORTA nice people… Help you move, dig a trench, cook you food, smile and be polite. But then they would agree with sending a trans teen to a shock therapy center.
