He didn’t take the Pistons’ coaching position until after his family received positive news about her diagnosis thanks to early detection 🙏
Sheesh. First Budenholzer with the tragedy of his brother’s death, now Monty. Don’t know when he necessarily heard the news, but it makes total sense if he wasn’t totally focused during the playoffs.
