Whatever their views on America’s immigration laws, most Americans probably have no idea how much the US is spending to enforce them. That’s in part because congressional Republicans and President Donald Trump slipped an additional $170 billion for enforcement — a five-fold increase — into the $3.4 trillion budget bill that became law last summer.
This all about minority rule. Republicans know their policies are unpopular, they dont care. They are building an army to rule by force and intimidation. The goal is rule by the rich minority, without democracy getting in the way.
Establishment democrats benefit from it too because republicans won’t raise their taxes.
It’s all about money, and money brings out the worst in people.
